I am an IT professional with more than 20 years of experience in technical and managerial areas. I graduated Mechanical Engineering and later achieved the M.Sc. degree in IT Management in Zagreb, Croatia, winning the Rector's Award in the process. The technical side of my career has always been focused on web technologies, portals, intranets and related on-premise and cloud platforms, as well as all kinds of integrations in complex environments, the trade I learned well while working for then-biggest system integrator companies in Croatia. As a manager, I have led solution development and product teams and departments. In 2012 I moved to Germany with the motivation to get the experience of working in global multinational companies. After the initial spell with Konica Minolta, I've been with HeidelbergCement AG since 2015, currently at the position of the Solution Owner for the SharePoint and Office 365 platforms.
My hobbies include playing rock music, following Formula 1 racing and plenty of reading.
The Pop in My Job
I have always been excited about the acquisition of knowledge. My nature has always been skeptical, inquisitive and curious. Having a job where I can work with modern technology and, quite often, set my own limits and goals is something I appreciate very much. On the other side, as a goal-oriented pragmatic, I try to design my solutions to add the most value to the core business. I enjoy being at the forefront in the age of the great technological change, when looking back only a few years ago seems like a distant past.
